As you enter the second trimester, you will start to feel more energized. Morning sickness should finally ease and you can really start to enjoy your pregnancy and connect with your baby. Your bump is becoming more visible and you will soon begin to feel the flutters of your baby’s movements.
But with a young child to look after, setting time aside to tune into your pregnancy may be the last thing on your mind. So it’s worth taking a moment now to consider the importance of your own physical and mental well-being.
TREAT FOR MUM
Second pregnancies tend to rush by. Before you know it you’re only weeks away from the birth, wondering where all the time has gone. This is why it’s important to make an effort to enjoy the experience.
By now most people will know that you are expecting, and they will not begrudge you a break from your duties. So why not organize a pampering day out or a trip away for yourself.
At this stage, with the bump still fairly inconspicuous, your child will not form any negative associations between your absence and the forthcoming baby, and it will give you the chance to have some adult-time when you can really relax and do things purely for yourself. It will also give your partner some bonding time alone with your child.
